The Label Exchange is a 'green' way to shop for trendy women's clothing. Lets take the concept of thrift store shopping and combine it with a kind of open ended business partnership with very little strings attached. That sounds rather enticing to me.
The Garden was established by the same intrepid crew of owners that brought us Crave, The 1914 and The Mix living. The Garden combines an open garden area that is reminiscent of some of the restaurants in Santa Fe. I even had a writer friend of mine from Northern New Mexico tell me that it reminded him of some of the clubs in London!
You build it at night and the neon lights will bring them in. 1914 opened up approximately 7 years ago and continues to be one of the most posh and trendy venues in El Paso.
Late last week, I decided to participate in a tour of the Anson Mills building in Downtown El Paso. I have a long standing love affair with Downtown El Paso since I grew up on Chihuahuita Street for my entire childhood. Now, I find myself moving back Downtown except instead of moving back to the Chihuahuita Neighborhood, I am moving to the historic Magoffin neighborhood
Nevertheless, I decided to check out the tour. I heard about the beautiful renovations that were recently completed and how they really revamped the overall facade of the historic building.
"And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when Earth's mightiest heroes and heroines found themselves united against a common threat. On that day, the Avengers were born—to fight the foes no single super hero could withstand!" The Avengers are finally here. Bringing together a team of Superheroes has been adreamof mine since I was a little boy, and Marvel Studios has done it. Disney bought the studio from Paramount for a cool $115 million dollars and gambled on Joss Whedon(”Serenity”), to bring them to the big screen.
In March, 915 Lifestyle was able to sit down with Congressional candidate Beto O'Rourke (D) to get a deeper insight into his politics, as a follow up to my first interview with him and also in response to Congressman Silvestre Reyes’ interview with us as well.
In this interview we discuss El Paso's greener future, Downtown revitalization, the need for a stronger VA System and how he can help El Paso obtain Federal Funds for our schools.

At Star Canyon Winery there is nothing owner/proprietor Alba cannot offer. She has a rich understanding of wine. A soft tone of jazz music is layered in the background and surrounded by mustard walls with a very Tuscan decorative, bronze interior. The mellow atmosphere is open for conversation.
“Our wine is meant for everyday events if you want to enjoy wine with your friends, your family, it’s great for conversation,” Alba said. “We want people not to be intimidated and we want people to just drink wine the way they like.”
The backbone to any successful city stems from a thriving and attractive Downtown society and it's no secret that local politicians and city planners have taken note. In the last few years, the City of El Paso has made significant efforts in beautifying and redeveloping the Downtown district, most notably by the construction of a new courthouse, the refurbishing of the historic Plaza Theater and completely renovating the Anson Mills Building among many other projects still underway.
